Management 101

DESCRIPTION:
This one-day workshop is designed for newly appointed managers, and managers who want to improve their skills working with and supervising your most important asset people.

OBJECTIVES:

This workshop will give managers:
• An understanding of the manager’s role and what it takes to be an effective manager.
• The realization that to effectively manage people, you must understand that they have different needs and motivations and must be managed differently.
• A method to identify the differences in people.
• The most common problems a manager must be prepared to deal with.
• The basics of dealing with problems and taking action to fix them.
• A better way to manage conflict between employees.
• General rules for managing, orienting new employees, anticipating employee problems, confronting and disciplining employees, measuring employee performance, and dealing with sub-standard performance.
